About NIAB:
NIAB is an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The institute focuses on cutting-edge research in animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics, and nutrigenomics.
Project Title:
Antibacterial Nanozyme-Mediated Targeted Elimination of Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Sanjay Singh
Duration: Initially for one year, likely to be extended based on performance and co-terminus with the project duration.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in Life Sciences or Chemical Sciences, MVSc, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent. - Desirable Experience:
Candidates with expertise in nanomaterial synthesis, microbial and mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and DNA/RNA extraction and handling will be given preference.
Fellowship Amount:
- With NET/GATE Qualification: ₹31,000/- + HRA (if applicable).
- Without NET/GATE Qualification: ₹25,000/- + HRA (if applicable), as per DST guidelines.
- Candidates qualified in category II from the merit list of DBT-BET exam are encouraged to apply.
Age Limit: 35 years
