DEPARTMENT: Chemical Research Division (Synthesis)
DESIGNATION: Trainee Research Associate / Research Associate

QUALIFICATIONS:

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or a related discipline from a reputed university.
• 0-3 years of experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and develop new chemical products and processes.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist in scaling up processes from laboratory to production scale while ensuring consistency and quality.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

• Excellent knowledge of basic and advanced organic chemistry.
• Good understanding of functional group conversion and multi-step synthesis.
• Basic knowledge of retrosynthetic analysis (desirable).
• Expertise in handling pyrophoric reactions.
• Proficient in TLC, column purification, and extraction techniques.
• Skilled in analyzing NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data.
• Enthusiastic to work in a dynamic research environment and adaptable to project challenges.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and structure drawing software (ChemDraw/ISIS).
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in literature search using Reaxys.
