Position: Drugs Controller (India), Group ‘A’, Level 14
Pay Scale: Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200

Organization: Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Eligibility Criteria:

Officers Eligible for Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract):

  • Officers under the Central/State Governments/Union Territories/Recognized Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi-Government/Autonomous/Statutory Organizations.

Experience:

  1. Current Position:
    • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
    • With three years of service in a post with Pay Band 4 – Rs. 37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700 (pre-revised) Level 13 (Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900) (revised) or equivalent.
  2. Educational Qualifications and Experience:
    • Graduate Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology, or Microbiology from a recognized university.
    • Postgraduate Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology from a recognized university or equivalent.
    • 15 Years of experience in the manufacture or testing of drugs, or in enforcing the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and its rules.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in drug standardization, control, and import/export of drugs, or administration of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules.
  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Additional Information:

  • Period of deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed five years.
  • Maximum age limit for appointment by deputation is 58 years as of the closing date of application receipt.

Required Documents:

  1. Application in the prescribed format (Annexure II) duly filled and signed by the candidate and countersigned by the Cadre/Appointing authority.
  2. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last five years.
  3. Integrity Certificate.
  4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
  5. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed during the last 10 years.
  6. Certificate verifying the correctness of the furnished particulars.
  7. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
