Position Overview: Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) is seeking a Research Scientist in Formulation R&D. This role involves managing research related to Drug Delivery Systems, focusing on timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality development. Responsibilities include hypothesis testing and the design and development of innovative formulations such as Liposomal, Nano-, and submicron particulate formulations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant Engineering field, with a minimum of 1 year of industrial experience in the formulation department of a pharmaceutical company; or
  • M.Pharm/M.Sc. in the same fields with at least 3 years of industrial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hypothesis testing and develop novel formulations.
  • Identify and address challenges in development stages.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Communicate scientific findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.

Relevant Experience: Candidates should have experience in:

  • Lipid and polymer-based Drug Delivery Systems.
  • Polymer chemistry and peptide/protein handling.
  • Sustained and controlled drug delivery systems.
  • Microfluidics for nanoparticle synthesis.
  • Analytical techniques for formulation characterization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with nucleic acid quantification and in vitro/in vivo evaluation of drug delivery systems.
  • Proficiency in various characterization techniques (e.g., TEM, SEM, HPLC).
