Job Description: QC Officer (Microbiology)
Location: Vadodara
Education: Degree in Microbiology or relevant field
Experience: 0-3 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Microbial Limit Tests (MLT) on water samples.
- Conduct swab tests, antimicrobial tests, Gram staining, and yeast cell count using microscopy.
- Perform fogging of laboratories to maintain sterile conditions.
- Monitor and document environmental conditions in Microbiology & QC Labs.
- Conduct microbial analysis of raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG) with proper documentation.
- Calibrate and maintain lab instruments including incubators, autoclaves, weigh balances, and Laminar Air Flow (LAF) units.
- Prepare and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and IOPs (Internal Operating Procedures).
- Perform microbiological trials with raw materials and finished products.
- Prepare microbial consortia from molasses and maintain pure cultures (ATCC, MTCC, IBPL culture bank).
- Prepare and manage microbiological media stock.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, aseptic handling, and lab safety protocols.
- Experience in enzyme assays, microbial testing, and environmental monitoring.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP compliance is a plus.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
