Age Limit

  • Candidates should have attained the age of 18 years but should not have exceeded 40 years as of 30/06/2024, in accordance with Notification No: M(3)/(55)/GEN/DOP/Pt.III dated: 03/07/2017.

Required Documents

  • Sikkim Subject Certificate or Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority.
  • No Objection Certificate from the current employer (if applicable).
  • Marital Status certificate (for female candidates). In the case of married women candidates, COI/SSC of Husband must be enclosed.
  • Valid Local Employment Card issued by the appropriate authority of the Government of Sikkim.

Scheme of Examination

  • The examination consists of written tests with both conventional and objective type questions.
    • Paper I:
      • General Knowledge: 25 marks
      • General English: 25 marks
      • Duration: 1 hour
    • Paper II:
      • Main Paper: 150 marks
      • Duration: 1.5 hours
    • Total Marks: 200
    • Total Duration: 2.5 hours

Other Conditions

  • Candidates must be conversant in one of the languages notified by the Government as State Language.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of the history and affairs of the State.
  • Selection will be made through open competitive examinations.
  • Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be called for document scrutiny.

Application Process

  • Candidates are advised to apply online through the Commission’s website spsc.sikkim.gov.in before the stipulated date.
  • Application fee: Rs 200/-, payable online.
  • e-Admit Cards will be available for download after notification by the Commission.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the examination.
  • The last date for submission of applications is 23/08/2024.
