Job Details

Position: Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of Positions: One
Project Title: “Construction of in vitro and in vivo genetic and epigenetic markers based bispecific CAR-T cells for acute lymphocytic leukemia immunotherapy”
Principal Investigator: Dr. Surajit Karmakar, Scientist-G

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work on a groundbreaking research project focused on developing bispecific CAR-T cells for the immunotherapy of acute lymphocytic leukemia. The role involves hands-on experience in molecular biology, immunology, and nanobiotechnology.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Post Graduate Degree in BiotechnologyNanoscience and Nanotechnology, or a related field.
  • Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a professional course selected through national-level examinations such as CSIR-UGC NETGATE, or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience in molecular biologyimmunology, and nanobiotechnology.

Age Limit

Candidates must not be over 28 years as of 20th February 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Fellowship and Duration

  • Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable).
  • Duration: Initially for five months or until the project ends (i.e., 13th August 2025), whichever is earlier.

General Terms and Conditions

  • The position is temporary and contractual, renewable based on performance until the project’s completion.
  • Selected candidates can apply for the regular PhD program at INST, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
  • Original documents, including age proof, certificates, degrees, and mark sheets, must be presented during the interview.
