Project Title: Exploring the Marine Ecosystems for Novel Bioresources with Human Health and Industrial Significance

Project Objectives
- Isolation of bacteria from seawater.
- Phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characterization of enriched bacteria.
- Purification and identification of novel bioactive metabolites and their functional validation.
- Next-generation sequencing for metagenomics, metabarcoding, whole-genome sequencing, and mass spectrometry analysis for metabolites and proteins.
Positions Available
Senior Research Fellow / Senior Project Associate
- Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.Pharm / MSc in Botany / Chemistry / Life Sciences, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine.
- Four years of experience in R&D in industry/academic institutions or a Doctoral degree in relevant fields.
- Duration: 02 years or until project completion.
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years.
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹42,000 + 18% HRA.
Technician
- Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology.
- Duration: 02 years or until project completion.
- Upper Age Limit: 50 years.
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹20,000 + 18% HRA.
