About the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS):

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following project positions.

Position: Project Associate – I (01 Position)

Project Title:
DBT-BIRAC project: Identification and validation of potential drug candidates against COVID-19-associated lung fibrosis using clinically relevant in vitro and in vivo models.

Duration:
Up to 15.10.2024

Remuneration:
Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month

Eligibility:

• Candidates with M.Sc. / M. Tech / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology, etc.) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (relaxation as per GOI guidelines).
• Preference for national-level entrance test (NET/GATE/GPAT) qualified candidates. For non-NET/GATE candidates, the fellowship will be as per DST guidelines.
• Age Limit: 35 years as of 18.07.2024, with age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and validation of potential drug candidates against COVID-19-associated lung fibrosis.
• Work with in vitro and in vivo models as part of the DBT-BIRAC project.
