The institute’s mission is to advance nanotechnology by promoting creative research and global partnerships.

Responsibilities in the Job

The chosen applicant will work as a Project Research Associate-I (RA-I) on the DST-funded project “Development of piezoelectric enabled nanocomposite integrated microfluidic platform for self-powered devices”. Among the duties are:

  • carrying out development and research tasks relevant to the project’s goals.
  • creating and carrying out experiments with piezoelectric materials and microfluidics.
  • applying flow simulations using simulation programs like ANSYS or COMSOL.
  • working with multinational teams and perhaps going on research missions to the Philippines and Malaysia.
  • recording, presenting, and contributing to research findings published in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications
In order to be considered for the role of Research Associate-I, applicants need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Ph.D., MD, MS, MDS, or an equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or related subjects is a prerequisite. Candidates who possess an MVSc, M.Pharm, ME, or M.Tech degree along with a minimum of three years of experience in related research, teaching, and design, as well as one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal, are also eligible.
  • Experience in microfluidics and/or competence with COMSOL/ANSYS for flow simulations are desirable.
  • Candidates must be under 35 years old on September 3, 2024, in order to be considered. According to Indian government regulations, there is an age relaxation for those in reserved groups.

Skills
Optimal applicants ought to have:
