Job Title: Safety Associate Trainee
Location: Kochi, India (Office-based position)
Job Overview: IQVIA is seeking recent graduates and freshers with degrees in B. Pharm, M. Pharm, or PharmD to join our team as Safety Associate Trainees. This role involves reviewing, assessing, and processing safety data and information across service lines, adhering to applicable regulations, SOPs, and internal guidelines. You will work under the guidance and support of senior operations team members.
Essential Functions:
- Prioritize and complete assigned training on time.
- Process safety data in accordance with regulations, guidelines, SOPs, and project requirements.
- Perform pharmacovigilance activities, including collecting and tracking incoming Adverse Events (AE)/endpoint information.
- Determine the initial/update status of incoming events, database entry, AE and product coding, writing narratives, and literature-related activities.
- Assume workflow responsibilities for assigned projects as directed by operations team members or managers.
- Ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Identify and report quality problems to senior team members or mentors.
- Attend project team meetings and provide feedback to the operations manager on challenges, issues, or successes.
- Maintain 100% compliance with all people practices and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduates & Freshers in B. Pharm, M. Pharm, or PharmD (must have a provisional degree certificate or degree certificate).
- Good knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player and contribute to achieving team goals.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, utilize initiative, and work independently.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn new skills across safety service lines.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables according to the agreed terms.
- Demonstration of IQVIA core values while performing daily tasks.
- Extensive use of the keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
- Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
- Regular sitting for extended periods.
- May require occasional travel.
- Flexibility to operate in shifts.
