Key Responsibilities in the Research Associate Role
As a Research Associate at Jubilant Biosys, you will be tasked with a variety of crucial duties aimed at advancing research in the pharmaceutical sector. These responsibilities include:
- Reading and Understanding ADME Protocols: Understand and follow various in vitro ADME protocols to ensure accuracy and precision in experiments.
- Conducting In Vitro Stability Experiments: Perform stability experiments involving liver microsomes, plasma, and other relevant matrices for new chemical entities.
- In Vitro ADME Experiments: Execute important ADME experiments such as:
- LogP, logD, and pKa measurements
- CYP induction and inhibition assays
- Permeability determinations using cell lines like Caco-2 and MDCK
- CYP phenotyping in purified enzyme systems
- Solubility determinations, including kinetic and thermodynamic solubility in simulated fluids.
These tasks are critical for the optimization and development of new drugs.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the ADME, DMPK, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in performing in vitro experiments, especially in ADME-related assays.
- Strong knowledge of techniques such as permeability tests, solubility determinations, and CYP assays.
