Position Overview: The Medical Affairs – Medical Writing role involves providing balanced, objective, and accurate information to regulators, the scientific community, health care professionals, payers, and patients. The role supports Medical Affairs activities through the creation and maintenance of various content types including slide updates, newsletters, patient education material, and regulatory documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage content for Medical Affairs including slide updates, training materials, manuscripts, newsletters, and more.
- Execute document preparation, development, and finalization for regulatory documents.
- Plan, write, edit, review, coordinate, and complete documents supporting clinical development and product registration.
- Conduct document initiation meetings and coordinate expert/scientific reviews.
- Ensure data is presented clearly and accurately, maintaining consistency across related documents.
- Lead writing projects, applying project management skills to ensure timely completion of high-quality documents.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and manage project timelines.
Knowledge and Skills Development:
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of therapeutic areas, regulatory guidelines, and publication guidelines.
- Stay updated on compound-specific and therapeutic area knowledge.
- Share technical expertise and coach others in document development.
- Contribute to process improvements and share best practices.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, health, communications, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in technical/regulatory scientific writing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Graduate degree with formal research component or in life sciences preferred.
- Mastery of verbal and written English skills in medical/scientific/technical writing.
- Experience in clinical development, clinical trial process, or regulatory activities.
- Demonstrated project management and time management skills.
- High-level end-user computer skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
