- Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent in Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognized university
- Desirable: Hands-on training and experience in basic microbiological and molecular biological techniques for a minimum of 6 months; experience in an NABL (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) certified lab for a minimum of 6 months
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 01.01.2024
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA @27%

Application Process: Interested candidates fulfilling the essential qualifications and age limit may apply in the prescribed proforma along with self-attested copies of certificates in support of age and essential qualifications, experience certificates, and two passport-size recent photographs. Candidates must appear for a written test followed by an interview at the Seminar Hall of CARI, Kolkata, as per the scheduled date and time. Candidates are required to carry their original testimonials for verification. Interested candidates must reach the venue at 10:00 am on the stipulated date. No candidate will be allowed for the interview beyond this time.
Notes:
- Engagement will be purely on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. No claim for regular/permanent appointment will be entertained.
- Engagement will be initially for six months, extendable up to the tenure of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
