Job Title: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

Salary: Rs. 56,000/- per month + HRA (as admissible)

Age Limit: 35 years

Essential Qualifications:

1. First-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees.
2. Second-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees with Ph.D.

Desirable Qualifications:

• M.Sc./Ph.D. in life sciences with at least 2 years of experience in research laboratory, hands-on immunological and molecular biology techniques, handling infectious agents, and data management.
• Prior experience working with flow cytometer and DNA sequencer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform molecular cloning techniques, tissue culture-based laboratory assays involving infectious agents, lentivirus production, flow cytometric assays, western blot, SDS-PAGE, DNA sequencing, sequencing data analysis, and interpretation.
• Project-related documentation and report writing.
• Other tasks assigned by the concerned officer at the institution.

Selection Procedure:

• Written/Skill Test (depending on the number of candidates).
• Written test will cover relevant subject matters, general knowledge, reasoning skills, quantitative analysis, language, and general aptitude.
• Qualified candidates will be considered for an interview and/or further recruitment process.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Number of vacancies may vary.
2. Positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project.
3. Recruitment depends on project requirements and approval from the competent authority.
4. Emoluments are project-specific and may vary according to funding agency approval.
5. Age relaxation is applicable as per ICMR guidelines.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/written test.
7. No claim for a regular post at the institute or any other government department.
8. Initial appointment is for 1 year; extension depends on project tenure and performance evaluation.
