Position: Health Science Advisor

Location: San Francisco

Job Description

The Health Science Advisor will report to the respective Ecosystem Lead and collaborate with colleagues in Medical (CSSs), Market Access (HSAMs), and Patient Support (PELs). This role will serve as the primary connection to HCP customers, providing expert advice on various topics including:

  • Product Access: Local market payor coverage, co-pay, prior authorization, formulary placement, and availability.
  • On-Label Information: Proactively sharing complex on-label information consistent with approved materials.
  • Patient Care Guidance: Example system protocols, standard of care guidelines, discharge protocols, and expert opinions.
  • Provider Connections: Facilitating real-time connections to on-demand CSSs for HCP questions.

Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with customers through virtual and digital tools.
  • Direct customers to appropriate colleagues when necessary.
  • Ensure customer requests are met and gather feedback on engagement quality.

Thought Leadership:

  • Facilitate speaker programs and organize discussions with local/regional leaders.

Business Planning:

  • Provide insights and feedback to the ecosystem lead.
  • Collaborate to adjust strategies based on customer insights.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
  • Location: Must reside within 50 miles of San Francisco.
  • Industry Experience: Previous cross-functional experience in commercial life sciences or related fields.
  • Sales Role: At least 4 years of experience working with HCPs in a sales capacity.
  • Nursing Experience: Clinical nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) experience highly valued.
  • Skills:

    • Ability to solve complex problems with relevant information.
