The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) invites applications for the position of Project Assistant in a DBT Ramalingaswami funded project titled “Molecular mechanisms underlying retrotransposon expression and its consequences in breast cancer pathogenesis” under the guidance of Dr. Parijat Senapati.
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 70% marks from a recognized university.
- Skills: Strong theoretical understanding of molecular biology and genetics, along with excellent communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Practical experience in:
- Cloning
- Buffer preparation
- Standard molecular biology techniques
- Mammalian cell culture
- Transfection
- Immunostaining
- Image analysis
- Strong scientific temperament, hard-working nature, and good interpersonal skills.
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be below 26 years as of November 4, 2024. Age relaxation as per Government of India norms will apply.
Emolument:
- ₹20,000/- per month + 18% HRA (for candidates with both essential and desirable qualifications).
Duration:
- Initially for one year, extendable based on performance evaluation until project termination.
Selection Process:
