Position: Project Associate I
Research Project: “Centrosome duplication in stem cells- a novel function of histone chaperone APLF in shaping development” in the Laboratory of Dr. Debasree Dutta
Location: Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
Essential Qualifications:
- MSc or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences, with 60% marks.
- Minimum of 6 months of documented experience in mammalian cell culture.
- Documented experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, western blot, and immunofluorescence study.
Age:
- Below 28 years as of August 16, 2024
- Age relaxation will be given as per Government of India norms.
Emolument:
- Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA per month.
Duration:
- Initially for a period of one year, extendable till the termination of the project based on performance evaluation.
Selection Process:
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates currently working in Government firms should send applications through the proper channel.
- Last date for receiving completed applications is August 16, 2024.
- Separate applications should be submitted for different positions if applying for more than one.
- Applications not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.
- Only candidates fulfilling the above criteria need to apply.
- Applicants will be shortlisted for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria.
- Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
- The position is co-terminus with the end of the project and does not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise).
