Position: Project Associate – I

Project:

• Title: Sensitizing of immune unresponsive colorectal cancers to checkpoint inhibitors through silencing of Acid Ceramidase expression
• Location: Laboratory of Dr. K.B. Harikumar at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram

Essential Qualifications:

• First Class Master’s Degree in any branch of life sciences
• Minimum of one-year documented experience in mammalian cell culture or handling laboratory animals
• Knowledge about pre-clinical models of cancer

Desirable Qualifications:

• Qualified National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC-NET/LS or GATE or DBT-BET/ICMR/DST-Inspire Fellowship/JEST/JGEEBILS

Age:

• Below 32 years as of July 10, 2024 (Age relaxation as per Govt. of India norms)

Emolument:

• Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month for candidates with both essential and desirable qualifications
• Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA for candidates with only essential qualifications (as per SERB norms)

Duration:

• Initially for one year, extendable till the termination of the project based on performance evaluation

Selection Process:

3. Last date for receiving completed applications is July 10, 2024.
4. Separate applications should be submitted for different positions. Selection to the position does not entitle the candidate to future positions at RGCB.
5. Applications not in the prescribed format will be rejected.
6. Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria.
7. Selection based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
