Position Summary: The Associate Project Manager – Medical Communications is responsible for project management support, ensuring effective end-to-end delivery of designated publication/medical education deliverables across all phases.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage project support to ensure effective delivery of publication/medical education projects.
- Initiate and amend submissions based on comments as required.
- Develop scope of work, build plans, and schedule for agreement with internal stakeholders.
- Arrange key internal and external stakeholder meetings.
- Track activity delivery, manage issues and risks, and support follow-up.
- Support compliance/approval/launch activities, ensuring adherence to publication/MLR processes.
- Manage assigned publication or medical education budgets and track external spend.
- Ensure compliance with associated activities and approvals.
- Liaise with global stakeholders for publication planning and coordinating medical events.
- Maintain integrated scientific communication plans with quarterly updates.
- Coordinate medical events and advisory boards.
- Track and reconcile publication open access charges.
- Collaborate effectively with scientific communication and medical content teams.
People Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective relationships with end stakeholders within the allocated Global Business Unit and product.
- Lead and develop SBO operations associates.
- Leverage new technologies.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and quality delivery of publication/medical education materials.
- Develop tools, technology, and processes to improve quality and productivity.
Process Responsibilities:
- Support project delivery in terms of resourcing, quality, timeliness, and high technical standards.
- Contribute to quality enhancement by ensuring high scientific standards for medical writing output.
- Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in line with regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Responsibilities:
- Work closely with scientific communication and medical content enhancement teams to ensure effective project delivery of publication/medical education deliverables.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5-8 years post-qualification experience.
- Soft Skills: Stakeholder management, communication skills, ability to work independently and within a team.
- Technical Skills: Project management, scientific/medical writing/communications, pharma experience, therapeutic area/domain knowledge, publication submission, MLR process, tools like Veeva PromoMats.
- Education: University degree level (preferably in science), advanced/postgraduate degree in life sciences/pharmacy/similar discipline desirable.
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
