Stanford University is hiring a Clinical Research Manager for their Allergy and Asthma research program, as well as assisting with COVID-19 specific research. The position is located on-site at Stanford clinics and hospitals in both Stanford and Mountain View, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff involved in research administration for clinical trials, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  • Supervise adherence to study protocols and educate staff on policies and procedures.
  • Develop strategies for recruiting and retaining participants in long-term clinical trials.
  • Coordinate protocol submissions, renewals, and revisions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, including monitoring laboratory procedures and identifying corrective actions.
  • Oversee research grants, manage financial resources, and liaise with sponsors and departments.
  • Lead committees and task forces to address significant issues in research.
  • Engage in networking and outreach efforts to represent the research program.
  • Analyze recruitment trends and manage multiple clinical trials.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience in an academic health center, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a research management or supervisory role.
  • Clinical Research Certification (ACRP, SOCRA, or CROP) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology, pathophysiology, and food allergy research.
  • Experience managing complex projects, cross-functional teams, and overseeing regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH-GCP, IRB).
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional desk-based tasks and physical activities including lifting and reaching above the shoulders.

Compensation:

  • The salary range is USD 120,411 to USD 143,265 per annum.
