Job Description:
Core Purpose of the Role: A Bioanalytical Scientist with expertise in handling LCMS/MS to support ADME screening assays, including In Vitro assays, MET ID, and large molecule analysis.
Role Accountabilities:
- Optimization of test compounds and development of high throughput, fit-for-purpose LC-MS/MS and HPLC-UV methods to support ADME sample analysis.
- Perform analysis of samples generated for ADME assays and process different matrices/formulation samples of PK studies with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for interaction with internal stakeholders.
- Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HPLC/LC-MS/MS systems.
- Preparation of protocols, reports, and templates for responsible activities.
- Instrument maintenance, calibration, and maintaining documentation as per regulatory compliance and company policy.
- Adhering to safety and quality policies laid by the organization.
- Delivery of quality data with planning and execution of bioanalytical activities within agreeable timelines.
- Development and implementation of high throughput, fit-for-purpose bioanalytical methods to support in vitro ADME sample analysis.
- Identification of problems and troubleshooting in quick turn-around time.
- Mentoring team members to generate quality data within agreed timelines.
- Performing MET ID studies and providing final quality data with interpretation.
- Peptide/large molecule bioanalysis.
- Coordination with related in vitro verticals to plan bioanalysis in cassette.
- Formulation analysis data review and troubleshooting for quicker resolution.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a relevant master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences or instrumentation.
- Experience: Minimum 6 to 9 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience in handling LC-MS/MS systems is mandatory; experience with HRMS is advantageous.
- Expertise in column selection, mobile phase selection, solvent preparations, and sample processing techniques (e.g., protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, solid-phase extraction).
- Comprehensive understanding of in vitro ADME assays and technical expertise in troubleshooting assay sample analysis.
- Basic knowledge of large molecule and peptide analysis using LCMS/HRMS.
- Quality compliance skills and familiarity with quality policies related to data management and data integrity.
- Behavioral Skills:
- Ability to manage a team of professionals to deliver quality work within the timeframe, train and coach junior scientists, and inculcate good work ethics.
- Ability to work professionally and tactfully with coworkers and outside agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with high transparency.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork to achieve impactful results.
