Job Description:
- Provide and coordinate clinical pharmacy services addressing complex, specialized problems.
- Participate in medical rounds and conferences with physicians to optimize inpatient and outpatient medication plans.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive pharmaceutical dosing service.
- Assist in the design, coordination, and implementation of effective medication utilization evaluation (MUE) programs to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and minimize waste.
- Develop and enforce pharmacy-related operational policies and direct pharmacy staff performing clinical services tasks.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: Doctoral degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or a similar accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. (Attach a copy of your transcripts.)
- Exemption: Current federal employees in the 0660 occupational series, continuously employed since September 27, 2017, or before, are exempt from the basic education requirement. (Provide appropriate documentation.)
- Licensure: Active, valid, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. (Attach a copy of your license.)
- Medical Requirement: Ability to distinguish basic colors.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of professional pharmacy experience, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, medication dispensing, and patient medication counseling.
Conditions of Employment:
- Appointment may require a suitability or fitness determination via a completed background investigation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Screening for and obtaining necessary immunizations/vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
- Pre-employment physical required and annually thereafter.

Salary: USD 124,081 – USD 146,410 per year
