Remuneration:
- Associate Consultant: ₹75,000 per month
- Senior Consultant: ₹1,25,000 per month
Duration: Contractual for one year, extendable based on performance and departmental needs.
Job Description:
The Regulatory Affairs & Policy Advocacy (RAPA) division at BIRAC is dedicated to assisting innovators in navigating regulatory pathways and advocating for impactful policies for startups, SMEs, and entrepreneurs. The role involves monitoring regulatory developments and engaging with stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze regulatory updates and engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Develop advocacy strategies to minimize regulatory risks and promote innovation.
- Organize and manage regulatory workshops on critical national issues.
- Coordinate meetings with national and international stakeholders, including government and industry associations.
- Oversee RAPA programs and manage fund disbursement processes.
- Draft responses to public consultations and create position papers and reports.
- Maintain databases and assist in research, white papers, and sector-specific documents.
- Collaborate with the RAPA team for timely project delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Agri/Plant Sciences, Medical Research, Regulatory Sciences, Pharma, Public Policy, or related fields.
- Desirable: Ph.D. in a relevant field from a recognized institute.
Experience:
- Associate Consultant: 3-10 years of post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 2 years in regulatory bodies or relevant consulting.
- Senior Consultant: 11-19 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in regulatory bodies or relevant consulting. Experience in research, data analysis, and concept note preparation is a plus.
Age Limit:
- Associate Consultant: Up to 45 years
- Senior Consultant: Up to 50 years
