[Rs. 37k Per Month] Central Ayurveda Research Institute Hiring Junior Research Fellow

Location: Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Jhansi

Institution Overview: National Vrkshayuuveda Research Institute (NVARI) Jhansi, established in 1973 and renamed as Central Ayurveda Research Institute in December 2020, is engaged in research with the following mandates:

• Conduct medico-botanical exploration in parts of Central India.
• Collect and supply genuine raw drug materials for R&D work.
• Build up repositories for medicinal plants and crude drugs.
• Establish herbal gardens and carry out the cultivation of medicinal plants for Ayurveda.

The Institute has developed a herbarium with over 24,000 specimens of 205 families, 1,129 genera, and 2,563 species, registered with Index Herbariorum with the acronym JHS.

Project Title: “Pharmaceutical Development and Standardization of Ayush VR Oil, its Gel/Ointment Form with Accelerated Stability Study, In Silico, Antibacterial and Antifungal Activities”

Duration: 18 months

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.07.2024

Salary: Rs. 37,000 + HRA

Essential Qualifications:

• M.Pharm / MS (Pharmaceutical Sciences / Ayu.) / Postgraduate degree in Chemistry from a recognized University/Institution.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Preference for higher qualifications or previous research experience in manufacturing and standardization of ASU&H medicines.
• Experience in research projects funded by Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, CSIR, DST, or equivalent organizations.
• Skill in drafting and editing scientific documents, articles, technical reports, etc.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Working knowledge of computer use.

General Terms and Conditions:

1. The engagement is purely on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. No claim for regular appointment will be entertained.
2. Age eligibility will be determined as on 01.01.2024 with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Government of India rules.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
