Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Title: Multifunctional Sensing Skins for Curved Aircraft Surfaces (MultiSENSE)
Project Investigator: Dr. Shrutidhara Sarma
Duration: Initially 6 months (extendable, co-terminus with project duration)
Consolidated Pay: ₹37,000 per month
Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential: M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc/M.S. with 1st class or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Pharmacy. OR B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/B.S. in the same fields with qualification in one of the following exams: CSIR-UGC NET (including LS), GATE, or other national-level exams conducted by DST/DBT/DAE/DOS/DRDO/MHRD/ICAR/ICMR/IIT/IISc/IISER.
- Desirable: Experience in sensor fabrication, screen printing, mask design, Bluetooth transmission, and knowledge of commercial software (ABAQUS/MATLAB/ANSYS).
Age Limit: Below 35 years (age calculated on the closing date for applications). Relaxation for category candidates as per Central Government rules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and experiments related to sensor fabrication, characterization, and performance optimization.
- Analyze and interpret data, document findings.
- Participate in project meetings and procurement.
- Collaborate with other institutions in a multi-institutional project setup.
Project Overview:
The project aims to develop flexible sensing systems inspired by human skin, capable of measuring various physical parameters on non-flat surfaces.

- The position is purely temporary and contractual.
