Job Description: The CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT), Palampur, a premier research institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), invites applications for the position of Project Associate-I. The selected candidate will work on the project titled “Computational investigation into the role of alternative splicing in cellular differentiation, tissue regeneration, disease, and evolution” (GAP-0329). This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct computational research related to the project.
- Analyze data related to alternative splicing in cellular differentiation, tissue regeneration, disease, and evolution.
- Collaborate with other researchers and contribute to project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/Computational/Systems Biology OR Master’s Degree in any area of Life Sciences with a Diploma in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Programming knowledge and familiarity with Linux OS.
Experience: Not required, but relevant experience will be an advantage.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of 23.08.2024
Employment Type: Contract, Tenure up to 29.06.2028
