About NDTL:
The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is a premier scientific institute accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). NDTL is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical equipment and focuses on advanced research in dope science.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Deputation (Including Short Term Contract):

  • Officers of the Central/State Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies:
    • Holding an analogous post on a regular basis or
    • Having 5 years of regular service in Pay Level 12 (₹78,800-2,09,200) and possessing:
      • PhD in Chemical/Biological/Pharmaceutical Sciences from a UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institute
      • Ten years of post-doctorate experience in R&D and/or scientific activities in drug analysis, including two years in a responsible capacity in scientific administration, planning, and management.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in R&D related to drug analysis/sports dope testing
  • Knowledge of quality management systems as per ISO/IEC:17025
  • High-standard research evidenced by publications in reputable journals
  • Understanding of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics

Job Description:

  • Oversee NDTL activities and represent the lab internationally in WADA-related engagements.
  • Plan new analytical testing areas in human doping.
  • Refine existing analytical techniques according to WADA directives.
  • Guide and mentor scientific and technical staff.
  • Supervise and lead a team of approximately 35 scientists in a specialized anti-doping environment.
  • Handle administrative tasks and other responsibilities related to NDTL.
