Job Description:

We are looking for a Principal Scientist to join our Analytical Development team. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Research Associates (RAs) and Junior Research Scientists while providing technical expertise across multiple analytical techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of RAs and Junior Research Scientists, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex analytical instrument issues across HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, GC, and IR.
• Oversee the execution of complex analytical projects ensuring they align with client requirements and project objectives.
• Interpret complex analytical data from techniques such as NMR (structure elucidation), LC-MS (mass fragmentation patterns), HPLC (impurity profiling), GC (volatile analysis), and IR (functional group identification).
• Analyze impurity profiles and degradation pathways, ensuring high accuracy in data and analysis.
• Validate analytical methods for new molecules and contribute to method development for scale-up processes.
• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of key analytical instruments and ensure instrument performance through regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and adherence to SOPs.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, EHS, and project teams to provide technical solutions to complex challenges.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical updates and addressing scientific concerns.
• Generate high-level technical reports for client presentations.
• Coordinate multiple projects, effectively managing resources, timelines, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile:

• Education: PhD, M.Sc./M.Pharm in Analytical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related fields.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 13 years of experience in a CRO/API industry with an M.Sc. or equivalent, or
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with a Ph.D.
• Expertise in analytical instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, GC, IR).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex analytical data.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and client interactions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to generate technical reports and presentations.
