Overview: Southern Railway is looking for retired Railway employees to apply for the position of Pharmacist. This is a temporary job opportunity with the Medical Department at Southern Railway & ICF Hospitals.

Number of Positions: 22

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Retired Railway Employees Only: You must be a retired employee from the Medical Department who previously worked in the position you’re applying for.
2. Not Covered by Certain Retirement Schemes: You should not have been part of the Safety Related Retirement Scheme (SRRS) or the Liberalized Active Retirement Scheme for Guaranteed Employment for Safety (LARSGESS).
3. Good Standing: You should not have been compulsorily retired, removed, or dismissed from service.

Medical Fitness: You need to be medically fit for the job as mentioned.

Age Limit: You must be under 65 years of age. You can work until the end of the month when you turn 65.

Salary and Benefits:

• Monthly Pay: Your pay will be the difference between your last drawn salary and your pension.
• No Increment or HRA: No increases in pay or house rent allowance during the contract period.
• Transport Allowance: Fixed transport allowance as per your last pay.
• Leave: Paid leave of 1.5 days for every completed month of service.

5. Four recent passport-sized photographs

Selection Process:

• Suitability Check: Your safety record and other qualifications will be reviewed.
• Discharge Conditions: Your employment may end if a suitable regular employee is appointed, or if your performance is unsatisfactory.

Important Notes:

1. Temporary Position: This job is temporary and will end if a regular employee is appointed or when you turn 65.
2. No Extra Benefits: You will not receive benefits like PLB or advances that regular employees get.
3. Location Flexibility: You may be posted anywhere in Southern Railway/ICF Hospitals.
