Job Purpose

As a Vaccines Associate, you will strategize, develop, and execute sales plans to achieve financial and ethical objectives in your assigned market. By managing distributor networks, driving sales, and ensuring strong brand presence, you’ll contribute to Abbott’s mission of advancing healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Area Business Planning

  • Develop monthly and quarterly business plans.
  • Plan demand generation and fulfillment strategies.
  • Monitor actual sales performance and implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct prescription audits for Abbott and competitor brands.
  • Maintain and update customer lists of specified doctors and chemists (physical/electronic format).
  • Identify potential areas and appoint distributors/customers in line with business philosophy.

2. Business Generation & Development

  • Achieve sales targets across monthly, quarterly, and yearly timelines.
  • Engage in science-based discussions with doctors and chemists to promote products ethically.
  • Organize CMEs and activations across clinics and trade for brand visibility.
  • Implement merchandising and sampling activities as per divisional strategy.
  • Support new product launches through targeted customer engagement and trade promotion.

3. Customer Management

  • Execute a customer management plan ensuring comprehensive coverage of all customers.
  • Meet KPIs, including:
    a. 100% coverage of doctors.
    b. Customer call averages in line with divisional strategy.
    c. Inventory management at the retailer level.
  • Collect market intelligence and provide feedback.

4. Brand Management

  • Enhance Abbott’s brand visibility at retailer outlets.
  • Attend retail meets and market blitz activities to support sales growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience handling KOLs and managing institutions.
  • Proven track record in sales, customer engagement, and business planning within the pharma or healthcare sector.
