Overview
CSIR-CIMAP is a premier multidisciplinary research institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), focusing on the potential of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs). We invite eligible candidates for temporary engagement as Junior Research Assistants under various CSTUP Projects.
Positions Available
- Junior Research Assistant-I (M.Pharm/M.Sc. Life Sciences)
- Age Limit: 28 years as of 01-04-2024
- Essential Qualification: First Class M.Pharm or M.Sc. in Life Sciences
- Stipend: ₹25,000/month (fixed)
- Junior Research Assistant-I (M.Sc. Agricultural Entomology/Entomology)
- Age Limit: 28 years as of 01-04-2024
- Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Agricultural Entomology or Entomology
- Stipend: ₹25,000/month (fixed)
- Junior Research Assistant-I (M.Sc. Seed Science & Technology/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany/Plant Physiology)
- Age Limit: 28 years as of 01-04-2024
- Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Seed Science & Technology, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Botany, or Plant Physiology
- Stipend: ₹25,000/month (fixed)
Eligibility Criteria
- Indian citizens residing in Uttar Pradesh (Domicile required).
- First Class in Graduate and Post Graduate examinations.
- Upper age limit relaxable as per government rules.
General Terms & Conditions
- Engagement is initially for one year, extendable based on performance and funding.
- Positions are temporary and do not confer any rights for permanent employment.
- Accommodation may be provided, subject to availability.
- No TA will be paid for attending the interview.

Candidates must bring:
- All original documents.
- One set of self-attested photocopies of educational testimonials.
- One recent passport-sized photograph.
Note: Final semester/result awaited candidates will not be permitted to appear for the interview.
Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on performance in the Walk-in-Interview. A written test may be conducted if necessary.
