Job Description:

As a Medical Coder, your key responsibilities will include:

• Coding Radiology Procedures: Accurately assigning ICD-10, CPT, modifiers, and HCPCS codes to various radiology procedures.
• Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring coding practices comply with regulatory bodies like Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance carriers.
• Billing & Reimbursement Support: Collaborating with the billing department to ensure proper reimbursement and resolving billing issues.
• Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Performing audits to ensure accuracy and staying up-to-date with coding practices through continuous education.

Required Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological procedures.
• Understanding of payer-specific billing requirements and insurance policies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Non-CPC.
