Project Details:

Name of Project: Elucidating the Plasmodium-induced complexity in the host signaling network
Funding Agency: DBT-Wellcome Trust India Alliance

Educational Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree: In Natural Sciences (preferably Life Sciences) from a recognized university or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial, Academic Institutions, Science and Technology Organizations, and Scientific activities and services.

OR

• Doctoral Degree: In Science, Engineering, Technology, Pharma MD/MS from a recognized university or equivalent.

Preference: Experience in Animal handling, Cell culture techniques, Confocal imaging, Flow cytometry, and Infection biology-related experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research as per the project requirements.
• Handle animal experiments, cell culture, and related biological techniques.
• Perform confocal imaging and flow cytometry.
• Manage project documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with the project team and participate in meetings and discussions.

General Information:

1. Temporary Appointment: The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically with the end of the research project.
2. No Claim for Permanent Position: The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the Funding Agency or IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
3. Terms and Conditions: Governed by the funding agency’s terms and conditions applicable to the project.
4. Educational Qualification: Should be obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
5. Interview Shortlisting: Based on qualifications and experience, the number of candidates called for the interview may be limited.
6. No TA/DA: No travel or dearness allowance will be provided for the interview.
7. Immediate Joining: Selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon receipt of the offer.
