Job Description:
Novartis is seeking an Analytical Scientist with expertise in Nitrosamines for their Innovative Medicines division. The role involves performing scientific experiments, generating reports, and optimizing analytical methods. The selected candidate will contribute to method development and data interpretation, as well as ensure that all activities align with the overall drug development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet quality, quantity, and timelines for assigned projects, performing and documenting scientific experiments with minimal guidance.
- Propose and optimize existing or new methods for Nitrosamine analysis, ensuring compliance with cGMP and other regulatory standards.
- Develop lab procedures, reports, and SOPs, transferring them to production while troubleshooting processes.
- Manage chemicals and lab materials and contribute to the maintenance of lab equipment.
- Actively participate in project teams and contribute to team goals and scientific contributions.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: PhD in a technical subject or a Master of Science with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in trace level quantification of Nitrosamines/Nitrites or similar impurities using techniques such as LC-UV/FID, Ion Chromatography, and LCMS.
- Experience with OOS/OOE and deviations involving analytical techniques.
- Proficient with laboratory tools, software, and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and scientific/technical writing.
- Experience with de-formulation studies and microscopic evaluation of drug products.
Additional Information:
- Fluency in English.
- Awareness of safe handling of chemicals and laboratory safety protocols.
