Job Description:
All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, is inviting applications for the post of Professor in Pharmacology. AIIA offers postgraduate, doctoral, post-doctoral, and Super-Specialty Fellowship Programs in Ayurveda and functions as a referral hospital and Centre of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Imparting high standards of education in Pharmacology
- Conducting and leading research projects
- Patient care responsibilities
- Contributing to international collaboration initiatives
Qualifications:
For Deputation:
- Age: Not exceeding 58 years
- Officers from Central/State Government/Autonomous Institutions/PSU:
- Holding analogous posts, OR
- Four years regular service as Additional Professor in Pharmacology, OR
- Eight years regular service as Associate Professor in Pharmacology
- Possessing educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment
For Direct Recruitment:
- Age: Not exceeding 55 years
- Medical candidates:
- Medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956/ NMC Act 2019
- Postgraduate qualification (M.D. in Pharmacology) or equivalent
- Non-Medical candidates:
- Master’s Degree in Pharmacology/ Drug Assay/ Chemistry/Biochemistry/ Zoology/M.Pharma (Ay)/MSc (Medicinal Plants) with specialization in Pharmacology
- Fourteen years full-time Post Graduate teaching experience in the concerned subject and/or Research experience
- PhD in the concerned subject
- Minimum 5 published research papers in UGC CARE listed journals excluding PG and PhD work
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience of undertaking Research Projects as Principal Investigator (PI)
- Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D consultancy and related activities
- Patents filed/obtained, publication of books and/or technical reports
- Research experience in recognized institution in the subject of specialty
