Position: Project Associate – I
Project:
- Title: Sensitizing of immune unresponsive colorectal cancers to checkpoint inhibitors through silencing of Acid Ceramidase expression
- Location: Laboratory of Dr. K.B. Harikumar at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram
Essential Qualifications:
- First Class Master’s Degree in any branch of life sciences
- Minimum of one-year documented experience in mammalian cell culture or handling laboratory animals
- Knowledge about pre-clinical models of cancer
Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualified National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC-NET/LS or GATE or DBT-BET/ICMR/DST-Inspire Fellowship/JEST/JGEEBILS
Age:
- Below 32 years as of July 10, 2024 (Age relaxation as per Govt. of India norms)
Emolument:
- Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA per month for candidates with both essential and desirable qualifications
- Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA for candidates with only essential qualifications (as per SERB norms)
Duration:
- Initially for one year, extendable till the termination of the project based on performance evaluation
Selection Process:

- Last date for receiving completed applications is July 10, 2024.
- Separate applications should be submitted for different positions. Selection to the position does not entitle the candidate to future positions at RGCB.
- Applications not in the prescribed format will be rejected.
- Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria.
- Selection based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
