Position: Associate Professor / Assistant Professor – Pharmacology Department

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Professor in Pharmacology to join our distinguished faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional education, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the academic community through service and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction in undergraduate and graduate pharmacology courses.
• Develop and update course materials and curricula to reflect current trends and advancements in pharmacology.
• Mentor and advise students on academic, research, and career matters.
• Evaluate and grade students’ classwork, assignments, and exams.

Research:

• Conduct innovative and impactful research in pharmacology or related areas.
• Publish research findings in reputable academic journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Seek and secure research funding through grant proposals.
• Supervise and guide graduate student research projects and theses.

Service:

• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and programs.
• Engage with the professional community through outreach, collaboration, and participation in professional organizations.

Other Duties:

• Stay current with developments and advancements in the field of pharmacology.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching and research skills.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Ph.D. or M.Pharm. in Pharmacology or a closely related field.
• Experience: 8 to 10 years.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college or university level.
• A strong record of research and scholarly publications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body and faculty.

Preferred Qualities:

• Experience in securing research grants and funding.
• Industry experience in pharmacology or related fields.
• Knowledge of contemporary teaching methods and educational technologies.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
